About: The film explores the origins of James T. Kirk, Spock and the crew of the USS Enterprise from the original "Star Trek" series and how these iconic characters came together. According to rumors, the story involves an elder Spock and a group of Romulans being transplanted into the past where Spock must prevent the Romulans from irreparably damaging the timeline. To do so, he will have to enlist the assistance of his younger self.

The Void, is that which existed before the big bang, he hates everything and everyone in the universe for invading his nothingness. Quantum Quest centers on the story of Dave, a young photon, who is forced out of the Sun on a journey of discovery. He must get to the Cassini Space Craft and save it from the forces of the Void, only Dave does not know exactly what he must do or even where the Cassini Space craft is or what it is.

 SOURCE: It’s still five weeks or so before the new “Star Trek” movie is in theaters — but that film won’t be the final frontier.
The film’s studio, Paramount Pictures, is so confident it’ll do well that it’s planning a sequel.
Variety said filmmaker J.J. Abrams, who directed and produced this “Star Trek,” will produce the sequel with others.
No decision has been made on whether he’ll direct it.
As for the sequel storyline, writer Alex Kurtzman tells Variety they’re “waiting to see how audiences respond” to the May 8 movie

 Star Trek star Chris Pine, aka Captain Kirk, arrives at Nickelodeon’s 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion on Saturday (March 28) in Westwood, Calif.
JustJared.com met up with the 28-year-old actor on the orange carpet and asked him if he’s touch with the Internet world. He told me, “I think I have a website, but that’s about as in touch that I am.” (JJ Note: He doesn’t.)
When asked what his favorite prop on the Star Trek set was, Chris shared, “My favorite prop was the prop that didn’t work. It was the transporter room, which in theory is a brilliant machine, although there weren’t any fun effects to play around with.
