Chris & Star Trek cast attend Shatner Charity Event – Chris Meets Shatner

SOURCE: ( Thanks to SylarQuinto for the heads up! ) As noted in our last ShatWatch, there were two big events today: The William Shatner Horse Show, and a big Paramount press day for Star Trek. And so as soon as they wrapped up their press event, JJ Abrams and members of the Star Trek team and cast whisked across town to attend Bill’s charity horse event, and TrekMovie has the first photo of the first meeting of the new Kirks.

Although Zachary Quinto has had the opportunity to work with Leonard Nimoy, and John Cho and Zoe Saldana have had the chance to talk to the actors who originated their roles (George Takei & Nichelle Nichols), tonight was the first time that William Shatner and Chris Pine have met. The meeting of the two Kirks happened just minutes ago and a reader attending the event just sent in this photo from a camera phone:

I’ve added 34 photos of Chris and the cast from the ‘Star Trek’ photocall at the Santo Mauro Hotel in Madrid, Spain from earlier today. I’ve also added one photo taken by visitor Francisco who had the chance to attend the premiere in Madrid. I was sorry to hear that Chris seemed to be in a hurry to get to his next destination that he did not stop to sign for the few fans who had been waiting.

Juita’s fan experience and photo from Auckland

Juita had the chance to meet Chris on April 9th outside of the C4TV studio.

“Chris was in Auckland yesterday (April 9th) do do Star Trek press and the premiere. While Zachary, Chris and John Cho were in at work shooting some interview footage in the C4TV studio I was able to get a pic with a couple of the guys and I have attached the one of Chris – who, btw, was really nice. “

She also mentioned that:

“great interview, they were really funny and clowning around”

Star Trek star Chris Pine, aka Captain Kirk, arrives at Nickelodeon’s 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion on Saturday (March 28) in Westwood, Calif.

JustJared.com met up with the 28-year-old actor on the orange carpet and asked him if he’s touch with the Internet world. He told me, “I think I have a website, but that’s about as in touch that I am.” (JJ Note: He doesn’t.)

When asked what his favorite prop on the Star Trek set was, Chris shared, “My favorite prop was the prop that didn’t work. It was the transporter room, which in theory is a brilliant machine, although there weren’t any fun effects to play around with.
