I’ve finally gotten around to uploading the batch of 1080i HD captures of Chris from his thriller ‘Carriers’ into the gallery. This meaning they are now huge! haha! Okay, seriously they are about 1920×800 in size, so yes much bigger than the last set. I’ll be uploading captures of the extra’s along with video soon, courtesy of the awesome Andreas 😀

I finally got a chance to see the plague like thriller last week and I have to admit it’s actually not as bad as all the critics made it out to be. Anyhow I’ve added 1,239 HQ DVD captures to the gallery. Enjoy!

While the Paramount Vantage thriller CARRIERS (see our review here) is slated for a DVD release on December 29th (pre-order here), the rental market will get an early peek starting next Tuesday. The film has been scheduled for a December 8th rental release, with the title being made available through most DVD and/or digital rental channels. The film had a limited theatrical run back in September that bypassed most major markets (see story here) after being buzzed-about for over a year.

In a recent FANGORIA RADIO interview, filmmakers Alex Pastor and David Pastor revealed details on their next foray into genre fare, including their own take on the vampire/werewolf genre. Click here for details on that, and check out the latest trailer for CARRIERS below.

After being dumped in theaters this past September, the Chris Pine (Star Trek) thriller Carriers is coming to rental DVD on December 8, 2009 from Paramount Home Entertainment. A full DVD release is yet to be announced, but is expected in 4 to 6 weeks after the release. Determined to escape a deadly virus, four teens set out in search of an uncontaminated refuge. As they travel across the decimated landscape of America, they encounter a truth far more horrifying than the virus they are trying to survive.

Co-starring Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly), Emily VanCamp (“Brothers & Sisters”), and Emmy®-nominee Chris Meloni (“Law and Order: SVU”) CARRIERS is a terrifying journey into a world where laws and rules no longer apply, and no one can be trusted – not even your friends. The film was written and directed by Alex & David Pastor.

The CARRIERS DVD is presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 televisions with Dolby Digital English 5.1 Surround, Spanish 5.1 Surround and English, French and Spanish subtitles. The DVD will be available for sale four to six weeks after its rental street date.

Given his recent role as Captain James T. Kirk in this year’s phenomenally successful Star Trek, you’d be forgiven for forgetting that Chris Pine is an actor of many faces and of course, many roles.

Continuing their love-affair with all things Zombie, yet another scary, disease-ridden film has made it’s way down from the Hollywood Hills and stars the aforementioned Mr. Pine – and that film is CARRIERS.

I’d like to thank Amber of our Chris community over on Livejournal for scanning and posting this great article. This is what Amber had to say in her post:

okay well he says it’s “a good movie” not “a great movie” and he doesn’t even really talk about Chris BUT STILL. I was glad to see that someone else was also disappointed that Carriers didn’t get a wider release. Especially since that someone is a widely popular best-selling author and blogger for Entertainment Weekly. In his article this month, Mr. King bemoans the fact that small-scale, well made films like Carriers can’t even get shown in all fifty states, while Transformers 2 is playing on 5 screens at your local AMC.
