The evening had its sober moments. Chris Pine, the “Star Trek” actor who was nominated for “Farragut North,” put in a brief on-stage appearance to introduce people from the Geffen Playhouse. Pine stuck to his notes and barely cracked a smile. Attendees warmly applauded him anyway.

I find it interesting that the writer basically decided that Chris looked like he didn’t want to be there. From the picture he looks like he is smiling and happy. Some entertainment reporters just have to be negative for no good reason.
Not smiling? My ass. He’s got a smile right there! Obviously whoever reported this needs to redefine their version of a smile. Just because he’s not showing his teeth doesn’t mean he’s not smiling nicely. He looks great!
