AN: Just so everyone is aware I know MTV is pretty reliable but I’m waiting on a confirmation from his Publicist just to be sure since a few projects listed on his IMDB page are incorrect.

Both Denzel Washington and Chris Pine presented Golden Popcorn statues at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, and if all goes according to plan, the two actors will be working much more closely together in the fall. MTV News has learned exclusively that Pine has signed on to Denzel’s upcoming thriller based on a true story, “Unstoppable.”

“I’m going to shoot a movie in the fall called ‘Unstoppable’ β€” me and Tony Scott β€” and Chris Pine’s going to do it with us,” Washington revealed backstage at the Gibson Amphitheatre. “I hope I’m not speaking out of line. I think they made a deal with him, and I’m supposed to meet him next week.”

While Denzel has not yet seen Pine as the new James T. Kirk in “Star Trek,” he said, “That’s the one movie I do want to see this summer.”

Well I know some of you have questioned it and possibly believe one you may have added, or have followed or even befriended is the REAL Chris but the truth is Chris does not have a account on any of these sites. I’ve confirmed it twice with his Publicist just to be sure, because the last thing I want to do is hand out incorrect nformation to you guys.

So if you have a “Chris Pine” added or are currently following one on Twitter than I suggest you un-add/un-follow them because it’s not Chris. Whenever the time comes that Chris is to ever get one of these accounts you can be your butt I will be the first to let you guys know. πŸ™‚

I thought this was a interesting little side bit πŸ˜‰

Set Phasers To: Stunning! – In one sexy “Trek” scene, Chris Pine wears nothing but his undies while gyrating around on top of a Green Girl. According to his co-star, the new Kirk was puffing up those pecs just moments before cameras rolled. “Chris Pine did push-ups before every take of our make-out scene,” grinned Nichols.

Until this weekend, not many among the moviegoing public knew the name Chris Pine, unless you happened to be a fan of films like “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement” or the Lindsay Lohan rom-com clunker “Just My Luck.” But his turn as young James T. Kirk in J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek” reboot looks to be a star-making move.

And it’s not just audiences and critics who are raving about Pine’s Kirk and favorably comparing his portrayal to that of original Kirk William Shatner; Hollywood is taking notice too. Count director Kevin Smith among Pine’s growing legion of fans.

“I think what makes that movie work chiefly β€” aside from, of course, the talents who all came together behind it β€” is Chris Pine,” Smith said when he stopped by the MTV News offices. “That dude is astounding. To be able to invoke Kirk without doing a Shatner impression? That performance was so electric and so wonderful to watch.

“That dude is an instant movie star,” Smith added. “That dude is gonna work forever. He’s so good and effortless in his delivery.”

Smith is no stranger to breakout stars, having worked with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in early films like “Chasing Amy” and “Dogma,” and Pine reminds Smith of both actors: “He’s kind of a combination between Ben and Matt. You had Ben and Matt in the ’90s, and now you have Chris Pine, who is the combination of those dudes.”

Smith is so enamored of Pine, he’s willing to do almost anything to take in another of the actor’s performances. “I’d watch that dude do anything,” Smith said with a laugh. “I’d watch that dude have sex with my wife at this point. He’s such a good actor.”

But it wasn’t just Pine that had Smith raving about “Trek.” “The opening 10 minutes of that movie are astounding,” he said. “It’s, like, everything could go downhill after that, and you would still leave that movie going, ‘That movie rocked.’ But, luckily, it doesn’t really go downhill. It maintains that energy throughout.”

Just wanted to extend a huge thanks to all those who came down for the London Premiere of Star Trek on Monday. It was a fantastic night which culminated in a great party at the Royal Festival Hall. Seeing the movie in the main theatre at the Empire Leicester Square was nothing short of exhilarating. The crowd was pumped, the atmosphere was electric and the sound was turned up to eleven. I still haven’t been able to get the smell of dilithium out of my kilt.

In my ongoing fight against mean spirited journalism, I feel I should wade in and defend my NBF, Chris Pine who according to the British Sun newspaper, “was really annoyed because Simon got all the laughs at the premiere β€” both during the film and on the red carpet.” He then went on to “shun” the party. Let’s just be clear about this, Chris really isn’t the type to shun; he’s not a shunner and nobody at the party (that he most certainly did attend) felt his enshunment. He actually spent a good hour posing for photos with my family, who for the next 24 hours seemed incapable of saying anything other than, “Chris is lovely, isn’t he?” I’m guessing the story was twisted from generous statements he made on the red carpet about his fellow actors that (horror of horrors) he might have expressed with a hint of irony. Like me saying “damn you Pine you handsome talented bastard!” as I do every night before bed.

Trust me, you are going to love Chris’s Kirk. He demonstrates all the swagger of Shatner and combines it with a lightness and likability which is all his own. If anyone walks off with this movie, it’s The Pine .

Thanks to Carrie for the heads up!

IT was strife, Jim β€” but not as we know it β€” when CHRIS PINE threw a strop at the premiere of Star Trek.

The actor who stars as Captain Kirk in the sci-fi release, was less than happy that co-star SIMON PEGG β€” who plays Scotty β€” got more attention than him at London’s Leceister Square on Monday.

My source tells me: β€œChris was really annoyed because Simon got all the laughs at the premiere β€” both during the film and on the red carpet.”

The miffed Enterprise commander beamed himself straight back to his hotel after the screening, shunning the after-party at Skylon restaurant in Waterloo.

So Pegg was left to bask in all his glory with an endless supply of tequila till 1am.

AN!imporant: This is in fact a classic case of misunderstanding as the photo here was taken at the said after party at Skylon which Chris “supposedly” bailed on for said reasons above. My guess is Chris preferred to change into something more comfortable instead of his suit so he would better enjoy himself with his friends. Maybe next time they can get their story straight.
