SOURCE: LATINO REVIEW – Tom Clancy’s popular character Jack Ryan could make his way back onto the big screen with the help another Jack. “Lost” director Jack Bender is in in the final strings to be on board for another Jack Ryan film. The title of it is “Moscow”, a little bit of a prequel in a sense where Jack (Chris Pine) is fresh out of the Marines and works as an analyst for a Russian billionaire. Of course things immediately get a bit tangled up as he ends up going on the run after being implicated in a terrorist plot.

There’s no word at the moment when Paramount expects to get “Moscow” off the ground.

SOURCE: CINEMA BLEND – The movie will be kind of a franchise reboot, taking place at an earlier period in Ryan’s career than what we saw in The Sum of All Fears/A Clear and Present Danger/Patriot Games/The Hunt for Red October. Pine will play Ryan just as he’s getting out of the Marines, going to work for a Russian billionaire but eventually going on the run (of course) because he’s been implicated as part of a terrorist plot. Given the huge variety of Lost episodes that Bender directed and how often he was charged with handling action, there’s pretty much no reason he won’t be up to the task of this one. Last we heard from producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura they were hoping to start filming in late winter or early spring, so if things stay on course, we’ll see Bender directing Pine as Jack Ryan before his old boss J.J. Abrams turns him back into Captain Kirk.

People.com posted another “Caught In The Act” up on they’re website and Chris was mentioned:

Chris Pine headed to new Hollywood hotspot The Colony with a posse of guys. The actor arrived at 1 a.m. and headed immediately for an outdoor bar near the entrance, ordering drinks and clinking glasses together. Dressed down in a sweater, jeans and newsboy cap, nobody recognized Pine or bothered him all night long. Though he was definitely having a guys’ night out, the actor did chat up two girls, but then moved inside to watch Cypress Hill perform.

Chris was photographed at the January 11th 20th Annual LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards. I’ve found only 1 photo of Chris from this event, but if you happen to have more feel free to drop me a line at: carol@chris-pine.org

I did find this little mention though:

The evening had its sober moments. Chris Pine, the “Star Trek” actor who was nominated for “Farragut North,” put in a brief on-stage appearance to introduce people from the Geffen Playhouse. Pine stuck to his notes and barely cracked a smile. Attendees warmly applauded him anyway.

Chris was reportedly “Caught in the act” this week by People.com

In the mood for a healthy meal, Kirsten Dunst stopped into L.A.’s M Café with friends. The actress ordered the California club sandwich, which features tempeh “bacon,” and also ordered a side of kale and spicy peanut sauce – all washed down with a green lemonade infused with kale. The same day, Chris Pine stopped in solo, and ordered a teriyaki bowl with black cod and extra brown rice.

According to Hollywood Outbreak, supposedly Chris is set to co-star in another film called ‘Kill Your Darlings’. I myself have not heard anything about this and since it’s the first I’ve heard I would definitely say take this with a grain of salt! 😉

It’s been reported that up-and-coming Brit star BEN WHISHAW will be joined by CHRIS PINE and JESSE EISENBERG as LUCIEN CARR, JACK KEROUAC and ALLEN GINSBERG in KILL YOUR DARLINGS, a ‘noir-ish’ telling of a murder that took place during the 50’s hey-day of the “beat generation”. We spoke with WHISHAW recently and he talked about the film and how reports of it’s actually happening might have been a bit premature
